China Railway Container Transportation Co., Ltd. is the unified operation and service platform designated by China Railway for CR Express and the New Western Land-Sea Corridor Express. The company's transportation projects mainly include three major brands: China Raiway Express, Multimodal Transport Express and Rail-Sea Express.

General Introduction

From 2014 to 2021, a total of 49,000 CR Express trains were operated, with an average annual growth rate of 92.7%. In 2021, 15,183 CR Express trains were operated and 1.464 million TEUs were transported, with a year-on-year increase of 22.4% and 29% respectively.

From January to August in 2022, 10,622 CR Express were operated and 1.028 million TEUs were transported, with a year-on-year increase of 5.7% and 6.4% respectively.

Over 98% of CR Express containers are loaded, among which the westbound containers are 100% loaded. Since the first eastbound CR Express train was launched in 2014, trains heading east has increased significantly, with the eastbound/westbound ratio rising to 82% in 2021, and to 89% in the first 8 months of 2022 . The eastbound and westbound transportation of the CR Express has gradually become balanced, and the number of trips between key hubs has basically achieved balance, and transport safety has been effectively guaranteed. Up to now, the number of Chinese cities that have launched more than 100 CR Express trains have reached 34, mainly including Chongqing, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Suzhou, Xi 'an and Yiwu, etc., with access to 200 cities in 24 countries. More than 80 railway container return sites have been set up in 15 countries along the CR Express route. The company has set up overseas subsidiaries in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Duisburg (Germany), Moscow (Russia), and Vientiane (Laos).

General Introduction

Rail-Sea Express provide clients with one-order, one-waybill, whole-route, green and efficient multimodal transport services. With fixed route, fixed schedule, fixed departure and arrival time, it realizes the efficient and seamless connection between railway block trains and marine liners, and opens up the whole logistics service chain. A total of 21381 Rail-Sea Express trains were operated in 2021, with 1784232 TEUs transported. A total of 15766 trains were operated from January to August in 2022, with 1387108 TEUs transported.

General Introduction

Multimodal Transport Express provides clients with door-to-door logistics solutions with fixed sites and fixed routes that seamlessly connect railway and road transport. It is a new measure for the company to integrate railway and road transport resources, provide high-quality service and improve whole-route logistics service capability. A total of 4,109 Multimodal Transport Express trains were operated in 2021, with 327,551 TEUs transported. A total of 3,980 trains were operated from January to August in 2022, with 324,070 TEUs transported.

Main Routes

CRCT has established an exclusive service team with a customer service department and a document department, to provide CR Express customers with services such as transportation documents preparation, cargo tracking, transportation coordination, customs declaration and inspection, as well as emergency management, etc,.

The company has also established a mechanism for transport organization obstacles feedback and management, and a mechanism for train operation information exchange among railway operators, so as to realize cargo tracking, emergency response and other services to ensure safety and stability of the train.
