In order to develop transit traffic, it is planned to implement the following projects:
Infrastructure and investment projects of JSC NC KTZh
Today, the extensive terminal network is operating in 16 cities of Kazakhstan: Astana, Kokshetau, Almaty (GTS-1, GTS-2), Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Uralsk, Pavlodar, Kostanay, Aktobe, Karaganda, Atyrau, Taraz, Kyzylorda, Aktau and Taltdykorgan.
Taking into account changes in transport and logistics routes and the geography of cargo supplies, measures are being taken to expand its presence at international platforms and create terminal facilities in China, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. To date, the project is being implemented to build a cargo terminal in Xi'an (PRC).
In order to preserve and attract the volume of container transportation in transit traffic, new logistics solutions and routes have been proposed.
In particular, work has been carried out to increase the volume of transportation from China to the Russian Federation (stations of the Moscow railway hub). In 6 months of 2023, 1,497 container trains were handled in this connection (a 2.4 times’ increase).
The container train service was organized departing from Belarus to China with fertilizer cargo and in the return China to Belarus traffic containers with collected goods to the Zhodino and Kolyadichi station. For the period from January to June 2023, 659 container trains were handled (in 6 months 2022 – 105 trains were handled).
